DIL-E4C Mobile Data Collection Webinar Series: SurveyCTO

In collaboration with Engineering for Change, the DIL Mobile Data Collection Webinar Series will provide participants with an introduction to a sample of survey software tools transforming the collection of data for international development research and how they might implement each tool within their own work.


SurveyCTOAbout SurveyCTO: SurveyCTO is a mobile data collection platform that works offline and allows you to conduct electronic surveys even in the world’s most remote and resource constrained areas, whether for M&E, mHealth, academic research, impact evaluations, or market research. Used by organizations such as Innovations for Poverty Action, J-PAL, Clinton Health Access Initiative, Oxfam UK, John Snow Inc., EGPAF, and various universities, among others, SurveyCTO was built with the following areas of focus: incredible reliability; unprecedented security; caring, super-responsive support to make life easier for users; powerful design and data management features to enable the simplest to the most complex surveys; and unique data quality control features to capture the most accurate data possible.

Faizan-Headshot_E4C-WebinarFaizan Diwan leads all customer-related efforts at Dobility, Inc., including training and supporting existing users of SurveyCTO, onboarding new users and helping organizations figure out what digital data collection system can meet their needs best. Prior to working at Dobility, Inc., he spent several years as a Research Manager for Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) in Kenya, where he led multiple large-scale impact evaluations and helped lead IPA Kenya’s efforts to shift from paper-based to tablet-based surveys. He has lived and worked in Pakistan, the US, Kenya, and Zambia.
