We are pleased to announce the opportunity to meet one-on-one with Jinnat Ara, Senior Research Associate with BRAC and a DIL Practitioner in Residence, on November 17, 2014.
Meet the Practitioner: Jinnat Ara obtained her Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and is currently working at BRAC’s Research and Evaluation Division as a Senior Research Associate. She has over eight years of professional experience with private universities and research organizations in Bangladesh. While at Berkeley, she will be working on a study about how BRAC’s Challenging the Frontiers of Poverty Reduction-Targeting the Ultra Poor Programme (CFPR-TUP) improves the well-being of women and households. Her research interests include experimental research using quantitative techniques, with special interest on issues related to extreme poverty, agriculture and microfinance.
DIL’s Practitioner in Residence program connects innovators on the UC Berkeley campus with a wide range of experts from industry, non-profits, government, and social enterprises for one-on-one consultation and mentorship.
