Tamara Straus is Editorial Director at the Blum Center, where she works with students and faculty to communicate multidisciplinary approaches to tackling global problems. Previously, she served as senior editor of the Stanford Social Innovation Review, news features editor at the San Francisco Chronicle, and senior writer and editor at AlterNet.org. She has written for The Nation, The New Republic, Salon.com, and Mother Jones, and holds a B.A. and M.A. from Columbia University.
